A few times in college i experimented with using 2 different cymbals and letting them decay facing each other. Usually the result was dull, but in 2 cases I got a decay into a weird bifurcation with a very low hum and a hiss and almost nothing in-between.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is there any way to enhance this effect?
