I've been using these beauties for about a year and half. After a blistering set a couple of weeks ago, I cracked one. I went to the local drum shop to order a new pair and was told that they don't make "anti lock" anymore.
Any suggestions?

The timing of this is obviously not great for the corps, but I would like to try to fill her spot immediately. If anyone knows someone who would like to jump in now (i.e. this weekend), please let me know. I don't think it is realistic for anyone to be "in" for the North Carolina field show (maybe LMS though), but we want them in the mix as soon as humanly possible.
But also wanted to bounce around the idea of different materials for cymbals. Brass is of course the most common, but how about aluminum? Aspens sheet steel? Copper? Anyone try it with titanium? Some exotic alloy?

I'd like to make a tiny one out of silver, using PMC clay someday to see how it sounds. I'd also like to experiment with thicknesses and shape. This could be interesting.
